Resolution

Be it resolved... Yes, that’s it... 2012 is upon us. 

Each year we delight in the newness. We anticipate what could be. We have waited for this moment. Ready? Set? Go...

We charge ahead with new life and vigor. The year is fresh and we are eager to start and willing to do and be in order to achieve our goals. The beginning feels easier now than in the past because we are excited to get underway. We will succeed at our new endeavors and challenges. Oh, yes we will. 

And so the story goes. We’re all familiar with making resolutions. Many people don’t make resolutions anymore because they feel they will fail. 

But, this year WILL be different. Whatever your resolution, or mine, we DO have a chance at success. Setting realistic goals will let us be successful, and what we master along the way will be our reward and be fulfilling in itself. 

We will reach the goals we set. We all know that everything starts with one step at a time. And, what is learned along the way will become useful as a tool for the future. 

What is good for us is the effort. It’s not good for us to be frustrated at what we might not have accomplished yet, but proud of ourselves for the trying. We will get all the way there. Realistically. 

We are attempting and reaching for the prize. That is success and a goal met in itself. Be encouraged... be resolved.
